One of my favorite horror sub genres is Nature run amok and killer animal films. I think it started when I saw Jaws, Jaws 2, and Day of the Animals on the big screen as a kid.
Here's a list of my favorites(plus these are the ones I own on DVD, VHS, or Laser):
Jaws(Still a classic. Robert Shaw as Sam Quint was pure brilliance)
Jaws 2(Decent sequel)
The Birds(Not knowing why is part of why the film is so effective)
Willard '71(Before Carrie, there was Willard who used his furry friends to get revenge on those who wronged him)
Ben(Sequel to Willard, though no where near as effective, still a fun little film. Great theme song by the late Michael Jackson)
Willard '03(One of my favorite of the recent remakes.)
Long Weekend '78(A couple learns the hard way to not get on Mother Nature's bad side. Penned by Everett De Roche who also wrote- Razorback, Road Games, Snapshot, Link, Patrick)
Piranha '78(Joe Dante's killer fish classic, the trailer freaked me out as a kid)
Alligator (Overgrown gator terrorizes Chicago)
Grizzly (Jaws on land, but still a lot of fun)
Day Of The Animals (All kinds of creatures run amok)
Squirm (Even though MSTK3 gave this a riffing, I still think this is a creepy little film. From Jeff Lieberman- Just Before Dawn, Blue Sunshine)
Lake Placid (Giant croc...Betty White makes the movie)
Cujo (Based on Stephen King's novel. Dee Wallace and son are trapped by rabid St Bernard.
Of Unknown Origin (Peter Weller goes one on one with a large rat that's invaded his home)
Razorback (Giant razorback boar terrorizes the Australian outback)
Monkey Shines (Directed by George Romero. Vicious little monkey)
Link (Elizabeth Shue is terrorized by intelligent orangutan)
Shakma (Teenagers are terrorized by killer baboon)
The Pack (Joe Don Baker and other residents of a small island fight of a pack of killer dogs)
Kiss Of The Tarantula (Blend of Carrie and Willard. Teen girl sics her 8-legged friends on those who wronged her)
Stanley (Early 70's Willard clone, instead of a rat, it's a rattle snake)
Bug (Produced by William Castle. Mutant roaches that start fires)
Venom (Black mamba on the loose in a mansion.)
Night Of The Lepus (Giant bunnies!)
Deadly Eyes (Cheesy fun- large rats{dachshunds dressed up} terrorize the big city)
Them! (Giant ants classic)
Slugs (Slugs with teeth)
Chosen Survivors (70's killer bats flick with Jackie Cooper)
Food Of The Gods (Giant wasps, killer rats....and a giant killer chicken!)
Phase IV (Intelligent ants)
Barracuda ('78 ultra-cheesy killer fish)
El ataque de los pajaros (aka Birds of Prey, aka Beaks: The Movie. Super cheesy gory Spanish The Birds rip-off)
Others in my collection: Rattlers '76, Eight Legged Freaks, Dogs '76, Snakes '74, The Killer Shrews, Rats - Notte di terrore, Claws, Devil Dog, Night Wing, Snakes On A Plane, Ticks, Gnaw: Food of the Gods II, Tarantula!, Skeeter, Mosquito, Play Dead, Mongrel....
