I know I read where Lucie Arnaz said "Here's Lucy" was canceled by CBS. But, for a variety of reasons, mostly obvious ones, Lucille Ball released to the press that she indeed ended the show of her choice. By the mid-1970s, CBS chose to go into a different direction with their programming.
