TV pitchman Kevin Trudeau got a scolding from a judge and 30 days in jail, after he successfully rallied his fans to overwhelm the judge’s email inbox with testimonials of support, Reuters reports.
The judge feared a safety threat and Trudeau apologized and told fans to stop. The pitchman has been battling in the courts for several years over his marketing of supposed cures for various problems. He was before U.S. District Judge Robert Gettleman for revised sentencing after an appeals court threw out a multimillion judgment against him.
