Zorianna Kit: You have four kids. Do they ever watch your old work?

Ricky Schroder: They just bought Silver Spoons, Season One on itunes and my daughter watched all 24 episodes in one month.

Zorianna Kit: What do you feel when you watch it?

Ricky Schroder: I feel cheesy when I see Silver Spoons. Some of it was funny, but some of it was just cheese! My kids love it, but I look at it and cringe.

Gee, who DOESN'T cringe when they see videos of themselves as kids? Fun to hear that Rick's kids are enjoying the show.

There are no videos of me as a kid! (I think there are some cave drawings though!)
Seriously though I'm glad Ricky's kids are now getting to enjoy their Dad's work.

Yeah, I think they'll have to wait a few years before they can even think about watching NYPD Blue. (I'm getting an image in my mind of Haley Joel Osment whispering "I see naked people")

A lot of people look at cheese in a good way. I think a lot of shows I watched in the 80's are totally cheesy now, but I still watch them and get a laygh. And yes, most people cringe when they look at videos of themselves as kids. Too bad I don't have any of me as a kid lol.

I think a lot of parents would be embarrassed to have their kids see videos of them when they were younger. But I guess you can't really compare Silver Spoons to NYPD Blue!

I agree. I think Mr. Belvedere is one of the few 80s family shows that is just as funny (if not funnier) now than it was back then.
