Is it just me, or did Patty Duke look a lot like Leslie Gore. I realize she was a product of the times also, but for some reason they just remind me of each other.

I always thought they looked alike but seeing those pictures just proves it. Wonder if they even "talk alike!"

Here's a bit of interesting trivia - when Lesley's hits began to dry up, she began songwriting. Her brother Michael composed the score of 1980's Fame, and the two co-wrote "Out Here On My Own", sung by Irene Cara. The song was nominated for Best Original Song at the Oscars, but lost to the movie's title song, which Michael co-wrote with Dean Pitchford (who would be the lyricist for Footloose four years later). Neat, huh? :cool:
