Just curious.

For those that don't know, Mary Morris was killed by what we all suspect to be a hit from her husband who was set to collect $700,000. In the segment the cop talks about her 911 call before she was killed. She was apparently being followed by someone and he states the call was very disturbng and blood curdling (not sure if those were the exact words). But UM never aired the recording. Apparently it is the most frightening thing the cop has ever heard. But is there any access to it? I guess in a curious way I would like to hear it to see if it will shed some more light

No, it was never released to the public. Also, I'm not sure but I dont think we are allowed to discuss this case. The co-worker on Mary Morris that was spoken about in the UM segment was on this board a few years back getting into it with the family. Houston Police contacted the moderators and told them to delete all forums on Mary Morris and not to discuss it as it is hindering their investigation. I'm not sure if that still stands but I would love to discuss this case.

How the "$% can a case not be allowed to be discussed?

Have these people never heard of freedom of speech?!

Must be some amazing police force if they have to try and silence an online forum.

They certainly have the right to request any forum, or any other individual, newspaper, etc. not discuss a case. The forum, individual, or newspaper has the absolute right to ignore them, as well.

The moderator can decide a case cannot be discussed for a number of reasons, and it hardly suspends one's right to exercise free speech. I would think the hindrance of an official police investigation would be a pretty damn good basis.

Considering the size of the city of Houston and the thousands of crimes that transpire there every year, I would think the Houston Police do an outstanding job. Online forums are some of the most sensitive and viable places to investigate, and they can be just as easily compromised and contaminated as a physical crime scene. It is far from a non-sensical request.

The owner of this site was asked to delete all the Mary Morris threads by law enforcement because it was an open case and he agreed to. Simple as that.

It's just hard to believe that an online forum or anything being discussed online could hinder an investigation.

People discuss all sorts of things online and many people have many many different opinions on a world of issues, that's the beauty of the internet - wouldn't have thought anything online would/could secure a conviction though.

Doesn't make a lot of sense to me either. Unless the cops go on a wild goose chase by following the lead of an opinion on here. Personally I don't think they need to be reading online stuff to nail Mike Morris. Just my opinion. I'll stop now.
