I played with my photoshop and gave Freddie new looks. Here is the first one, Freddie with a beard. Let me know what you think! ;)

Bella said it all there! You did a nice job on the pics. I'm too used to him in a mustache tho. I saw on some site once where someone had posted an old pic of him with his hair parted down the middle. He just didn't look like himself that way...

Does anyone think that the pic of Freddie without his mustache makes him look more like Freddie Jr.? I really see more of a resemblence. If he had short hair and no mustache I bet we'd notice it even more.

The only picture I saw of Freddie with his hair parted in the middle was one I have seen on many sites...the caption reads something about it had been taken a few days before he died and he does look very different...too thin faced. But, I liked the hair. I think he looks cute without the mustache but I like him better with it. I guess I am just used to it...... hec, I'd take him ANYWAY I COULD GET HIM!!!

Where did you see this pic of him with his hair parted down the middle that was taken before he died? I've never seen that one & would love to see it. The one I saw & saved on my puter was a very old one & he looked so different there...

I've never seen that photo of him,I will soon I'm sure.

Do you if Freddie ever had short hair while he was a grown man or just when he was younger?

Tylersmistress, is the picture you are talking about one in which Freddie is wearing a pair of sunglasses on his head? It was in a Parade Magazine article about his son a few months back, and the caption there mentioned it was taken shortly before his death. He looks kinda worn out; his eyes especially look as if he isn't quite there, but his smile is still dazzling--that and his hair being all messed up by the glasses makes him look very sexy in spite of everything!

tylersmistress2002
12-10-2001, 03:31 PM
Yes, thats the one...from Parade Mag..... he does look worn...but still O SO HANDSOME....that smile could melt the iceberg that sank the titantic

Cheryl Harrell
12-10-2001, 03:53 PM
The3n I have that pic. didn't remember his hari being parted down the middle tho. That one was a good & sexy one of him. The other one he looked really different in it. & In the earlier epieosdes like the first CATM episode he had kinda short hair...

Here's one with him in short hair (but it's over the ears):

Cheryl Harrell

Wasn't that a cute one? & There are a few pics of him in short hair in his moms book...

When you see the pictures of him like the avatar I have (hopefully it attached, as this is my first try) and then the picture of him with the sunglasses on his head.....he almost looks like a different man...... still a stunning smile tho...... I just dont understand why someone couldnt look past that smile and see the pain. Couldnt they tell how much he was hurting?:(

Tylersmistress, you got that right--if you put a photo from the pilot or one of the other earlier episodes up next to one from the end of the third season, you will think you are looking at either a different man or the same man but maybe 10 years older in the second picture! He was sooo baby-faced to begin with, and came to look sooo haggard by the end! (*sob*) Where was everybody?!

Cheryl , Thank you so much for Sharing that photo of Freddie on that sexy black shirt . He looks so sexy there. That look he gives you tops it all. Thank you so much for making my day after a crazy one ! :happyface

I think that little picture was in an ad for a very early performance he did at a Playboy Club. He started doing standup when he was only 16, and in that pic he looks about that young--I don't think he had grown the mustache yet! Plus it is obvious he hasn't figured out how best to wear his hair (or maybe even how to comb it LOL)! Not his best publicity photo!

On the other hand, there is the other one Cheryl posted, in the black shirt with the rhinestones on the collar......

I liked his hair parted in the middle on that late picture of him....he just looked so terribly thin faced. Still, the smile just warms your heart.

Cheryl Harrell
12-11-2001, 10:14 AM
I agree with ya that early pic of him with hair parted in the middle just doesn't look right. I almost wanna go that can't be him LOL! The later pic of him with hair parted in the middle looks great tho. He look so suave & adult. Like you I think in his earlier pics he does look so baby faced but in the later ones he looks older. Not older in a bad or haggard way but older in a more mature way. In fact when he died I thought he was around 25 or so. Maybe cuz Chico was that age when he died & the fact Freddie looked mature for his age. I was surprised to read on here after getting into Freddie earlier this yr that he only 22 when he died. I never noticed when CATM was origionally on that he was so bad off but then again we didn't know anything was wrong until he died. When I found out he died I was shocked. I couldn't believe someone so happy would end their life. Then later I read his wife was divorcing him & it hurt him so bad that he ended his life because of it. :( Even tho I watched the CATM re-runs of TVLAND I never noticed how bad off he was until I read on here folks talking about how bad he was & then I realized that's why he looked so thin. I had noticed he was thin but never knew it was because of the drug pills & his problems. I had assumed he was thin cuz he was trying to be thin the way people do in Hoillywood or was naturally thin...

Here's another sweet picture of Freddie:

In it he is crying at a wedding (The wedding of Ray Andrade a CATM producer in which Freddie was best man. Freddie was good friends with Ray.) How sweet! He cried at weddings. Bless his heart... What a romantic!

It looked in the pic like he was holding his hanky in his hand (It looked to me like that's what he was holding in his hand) so I tried to colorize it too. It's hard to colorize pics cuz his hair & any white or white looking shirts he has on don't seem to take too well to colorizing & so sometimes I have to leave the hair & white shirts uncolorized. Enjoy! :)

Since we're sharing our art in Photoshop I want to share mine. I used two pics...one of the fresh-faced young Freddie and one of the more mature Freddie. I hope this shows up...it might be a little big but bear with me.

BTW-- I liked the way Luckymama colored her avatar. ya'll are doing a better job than me. :)

Let's see how this one does: (It's an ASCII version of the origional pic of Freddie crying at the wedding. You probably have to move back & look good to see it is the Prinze. I copied the ASCII text rather than save it as a picture)...

WOW, Chicosladyfair! That is a great picture! I am sooo jealous! I dont have all the software you people do.....hmmmm.... I better do some shopping! lol

Cheryl Harrell
12-11-2001, 05:51 PM
It's ASCII code where you draw a picture using computer symbols & letters to draw a picture. I have a free program I got off the internet that can turn any picture into an ASCII picture. If you look at it sitting further back I think you can see it better. I think those evidently come out better as asn image than text...

Luckymama58
12-11-2001, 06:35 PM
Thanks, Cheryl....I tried! It's not easy to colorize B& W photos.

Chicosladyfair, what version of Photoshop are you using? I have 5.5 but I don' think I have all of those special effects on mine....but I don't know everything about my program yet!

I do have fun with the photoshop though. ;)

Cheryl Harrell
12-11-2001, 06:41 PM
I don't think mine has all those special effects either. Nice job on the pics folks! Loooking Goood! :)

chicosladyfair
12-11-2001, 09:43 PM
Thank you all. Well, actually I have Adobe 5.5 and 6.0 but making images like this, I have found is a big process. First, I run the picture thru 5.5 and clean it up...that one picture was from the Reelsoul cover and had lettering on it...all of that is gone. I have to adjust color balance, contrast..all that good stuff...put it on a background, add outer glow, desaturate...then take the other pic and do the same thing...cut it in an oval, place it in the other pic, bevel and emboss.
THEN...LOL...I have a program called Ulead Photo Impact 7.0. There I add the lighting effects and the frame.
THEN...LOL...I run it thru Ulead 2.2 and add my name text in the corner....and VOILA!
That particular picture took about 45 minutes to do...some take less some take all day. I have three Freddie Christmas cards I have designed if anyone wants me to post them here...(hint, hint)
Tylersmistress...the Adobe programs can be VERY $$$$.
Fortunately I got both copies from my brother who does this for a living...but the programs retail for $699.00 for 5.5 and $799.00 for 6.0. There are some really great programs out there for way less money. I got the Ulead Photo Impact 7.0 in a free 30 day trial download from a web site...it's AWESOME! I'll find the website and let you know the URL.

Luckymama58
12-11-2001, 11:21 PM
Thank you, chicosladyfair. My son, who is in art school for computer animation, has put the Photoshop on my computer for free(he gets bootleg copies because he is a student). We had 6.0, but lost it in the great computer crash in September. He is supposed to be downloading it again for me. I like it better than 5.5, more features. I would love that free program if you remember the URL! ;)

chicosladyfair
12-11-2001, 11:58 PM
Luckymama, the URL is http://www.ulead.com/
Scroll down to where it says Top Downloads. There is a list of trial downloads. Pick Photo Impact 7.0.
Now...there's a trick to this.
For one..it's a lengthy download...mine was over an hour. After you have it downloaded to a program file (with an icon and all that jazz) go to it. Now, when you hit the icon it will have 7.0, read me, and Smart Download. Smart Download is where you have all your KOOL effects. Click it. It will prompt you to click all these boxes for different effects. You want all those but you don't want to do them all at once..it takes too long and I eventually lost my internet connection. Download them one at a time...some are pretty quick but some have multiple files...and you have to be connected to the web to get them.
Also, there are free action kits for Adobe 5.5 at ELATED.com.
There are 5 different action kits and they're pretty quick (zip files) to download. They have some KOOL actions for fonts, one like frost, rain, waterfall, steely glint, marble...oodles of kool effects.
Those are kind of tricky to add to your Adobe once you have them so if ya need help let me know.
Have fun!!!:D

YIKES! this stuff aint cheap! I do have access to some photo software but I am not very accustomed to using it so I guess I will just stick to downloading the great photos I can from online. Thanks for the info tho.

I saw this pic up for bid on the internet. It looks like someone took that weird picture of Freddie from the Playboy that was out after he died & had his head cut out in it & made it even weirder with flames as his eyelashes. Too weird for me. Why they would ruin a picture of such a handsome man...

Here is where you can view the pic:

I certainly hope whoever put that picture up for sale reads this...they oughta be ashamed of themselves!!!

OMG!!!! I was browsing here while waiting for my little girl to be ready to take her nap, and trying to decide whether to watch some CATM on tape or take a nap myself after putting her to bed. This god-awful picture made the decision for me! I need to see our beautiful Prinze in action right now--that picture would give me nightmares if I went to sleep soon! I agree, the person selling this ought to be ashamed!

chicosladyfair
12-13-2001, 04:17 PM
I wrote an e-mail to the seller, Tikidug asking where the hell he or she got that pic? I noticed it is from someplace called LSDLand. The person who made it surely must be on LSD. That's pathetic!!!

Cheryl Harrell
12-13-2001, 05:35 PM
Hope I didn't upset ya'll by posting the link to that scary pic of him but I figured folks might want to know it is out there. It was very scary looking at that! & The eyes looked like they belong to the rock group Kiss. Why anyone would do that to a pic of our Prinze I dunno. It gave me the creeps. It did to my hubby to cuz I showed it to him & he couldn't stand looking at it... Yikes... If Freddie were living he would be very upset about that picture! :( I sure wouldn't buy the pic. :( Please don't do this to our baby...

12-16-2001, 11:14 AM
I love the pictures y'all are coming up with in the photoshops and by your names! mmmm!! :liplick: There could be no bad pictures of Freddie (except that "LSD" one...yuck!)
I need to play with this awhile and figure out how to use all the new features..I've read thru some of the instructions, but I'm one who learns by doing, not reading :D
I love all the new smileys! Rock on!

Cheryl Harrell
12-16-2001, 11:35 AM
Only other bad pic I ever saw of him was the one in the Playboy mag that was out after died & the person who drew it had pieces missing out of his head which looked scary. If they are gonna draw our Prinze-- draw him right...

Luckymama58
12-16-2001, 02:10 PM
Cheryl, THAT'S the picture the person used to make that god-awful LSD picture....the one out of the playboy with half his head missing...... makes it twice as awful!!!!! The world is full of sick, twisted minds! IMHO :angryfire :livid:

:( That was a terrible picture of such a hansome man. That must be a real sick who would do that.I certainly hope that none of Freddie's family or friends ever see that.

Cheryl Harrell
12-16-2001, 08:28 PM
It's so sick what those folks did to his picture. He deserves to have his picture done better than that. I have the playboy article. The pic is so scary. He might be sad looking down from heaven & seeing this... :(

Thanks! Glad ya'll liked it! I took a background from Adobe Photoshop & used it for the background. We all must be thinking alike cuz it had occurred to me while doing it that it would be a perfect one for Valentines. So I did a Valentines version of it to put on the boards on Valentines. Now I gotta remember that I did it & out it on here then. :) I also put a new background to my avatar image of Freddie. I took the pic off the tv which makes it even neater... :)

In the article that goes with this pic it says that he is 6 ft 3 & 180 lbs & has beautiful deep brown sloe-eyes. What are sloe-eyes? Whatever they are they sure are pretty! :) I better stop it, I'm getting too starry eyed!!!! :)

I think my favorite of the 2 pics is the color one. In the B&W one he does look more Mexican tho. I feel like a 16 yr old again... Sigh... Mmmm sloe-eyes... :)

MariposaLKB

"Doe-eyes" definitely is the right word for his big, round, deep brown eyes, but I looked up "sloe" and there is such a word--it is the plum-like fruit of the blackthorn. I think "sloe-eyes" could be a real expression for black eyes, but since the article said his eyes were deep brown (and heaven knows they were!), it doesn't fit them.

chicosladyfair
12-21-2001, 08:29 PM
You're right Mariposa. Sloe is a berry. I think that's where Sloe Gin comes from. But ya know...it might fit Freddie very well...his eyes are intoxicating. LOL.

Cheryl Harrell
12-22-2001, 02:48 PM
Thanks! actually I didn't do anything to doctor these pics up yet. These are just as they were in the magazine. Later on I'll have to try some neat stuff on them. I wondered if maybe sloe-eyes was a term for Mexican Hispanic type eyes? Then again it might've been a typo & they meant doe-eyes. Either way they are the prettiest eyes...

Luckymama58
12-23-2001, 10:32 AM
My son is home from college and he showed me the finer points of Photoshop 6.0 which he reloaded on my computer. My new avatar is the first attempt at colorizing and multi image layering that he taught me. The old way I was colorizing doesn't hold a candle to this new method! I hope you like it. I made the wallpaper square to start out with, I will need to start making them rectangular.... I did do another one with the picture Cheryl posted too, that is rectangular and will fill a computer screen as a wallpaper. I will post that one here! Enjoy these! ;)

I did up a picture of Freddie with a ponytail. How I did it was I took a picture of Arlo wearing a ponytail that I had taken & scanned & copied the ponytail onto Freddies head. Since Arlo's hair is gray now, I re-colored the ponytail black to match Freddie's hair & added a blue ponytail holder to it by drawing it on it. A different look for Freddie! :)

Cheryl Harrell
02-01-2002, 07:49 AM

Here is another one. In this one I took a pic of Chico from the first episode & changed his clothes on him to make him look more dressed up. I took the patches off his jacket & changed the color of it so it'd look more like a suede suit coat. I then took a sexy looking reddish wine colored shirt he was wearing on another episode & put that shirt on him instead of the blue t-shirt. Added a hanky for looks. & Voila! A more dressed up Chico. Enjoy! :)

My favorite look on Freddie was when his hair was at its longest--it always looked so full and wavy and soft, and framed his beautiful face sooooo well! I have been wondering lately whether he had curly hair that he fought into looking wavy by blowing it dry. An interview I remember has him saying he didn't like his hair going flat, which he fixed by blow-drying it. Some pictures I have seen--where his hair is a bit messy--give the impression that it might have been curlier than it usually looked. But I don't think he would have looked that good with a ponytail, simply because his hair was just too gorgeous to tie down!

Hi Gang.
As many of you might be able to tell, I am fascinated with the professional studio publicity shots that were taken of Freddie. I think it might have something to do with the fact that my brother is a professional photographer, I don't know. I love his natural shots, like Melissa's pictures, he looks so cute! But there is something about these studio pictures that had me fascinated...he is soooo HANDSOME!
So in keeping with this, I have created a black and white wallpaper of the shots I have collected so far. I hope you like my amateur attempt. Dani, you have nothing to fear from me, girlfriend!

Macca dear, do you want the individual pictures? Or the wallpaper I made? If you right click on the wallpaper and click on save picture as and put it in a file, it's yours. If you want the originals, I can manage it.
PHOTO CREDITS (or giving everyone their due) : The upper left hand photo I won on eBay and I know I have seen it on someone's site before, I just cannot remember where. It came in the same package with the Enquirer article I posted on hue_mee's site. The upper right hand photo is from the book, Too Young to Die that I bought off of Amazon.com in the fall. The middle picture is the one hue_mee won off of eBay and is posted on her site. The lower left hand one is from the Find a Grave site for Freddie and, again, I swear I have seen that one on another site too, but the old brain cells aren't working properly these days. That's my all time favorite and the one I used to make my avatar. The lower left hand one is on hillbilly's site and Dani made a beautiful wallpaper for it months ago.

Dani and everyone,

I am very flattered you all like my humble efforts. Since my son installed the photoshop 6.0 on my computer, I figure I should justify it taking up my harddrive space by doodling with it every once in a while. :p And as always, I love to share with my friends. (more hubris then generosity really!)

Dani, I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, but I have learned what I do from the master. :notworthy I studied your wonderful wallpapers and asked my son to show me a few tricks to duplicate some of your effects and then try some others. My kids are the ones with the artists eyes, I'm afraid. I just know what I like and don't like. I'm the Ed Brown to my kids Chico Rodriguez. (the CATM episode about the dirty mural)

So Dani, PLUEEZE keep doing your tributes to our Prinze! :loveya: They are wonderful beyond words. :notworthy I promise I won't give up my day job!
:rotflmao: :rotflmao: :rotflmao:

And to the rest.... don't encourage me too much. It is a very dangerous thing to do.... sorta like feeding the animals in the zoo!

As Bobby Mc Farrin is famous for singing....."Don't worry, be happy!" I guess I don't want anyone to think we are competing. I certainly don't think we are. We allow Freddie to inspire us to express ourselves. ALL OF US. And not just with pictures, with stories and poems too! So I will say a gracious thank you to everyone who has admired the work I have done and I want to say thank you to all of you who are such an encouragement. Dani, we admire your efforts because they are beautiful and because you were the first to show us how to make loving tributes in pictures, just as we admire Mariposa for her wonderful stories and poems and for being the first to show us how to do the same with words. We are all a very creative bunch...I think Freddie's talent brings that out in all of us! So please, let's us enjoy the fun!

I have created a Freddie background skin for the OPERA web browser. I used a mint green for the background color since that was his favorite color & mint green is a nice color anyway. :)

The reason there is color way down below the image of Freddie is that if I didn't have color way down below his image, his image (esp the suit he's wearing) would cover up the text on the button tabs on each window & you wouldn't be able to read the text on them. I didn't add extra text or effects for fear that would cover up the text on the buttons & make it hard to read.

To apply the skin to OPERA just click on file, then preferences & then browser look & you'll see the thing to click on to change the skins & you click on that & go to your folder where you saved this image. Enjoy! :)

Nice pics, everyone! Freddie & Jr's pics together worked nicely, Cheryl! Freddie Jr has a nice body, just like Dad did!

I downloaded an interview that Freddie Jr. did with Howard Stern off Audiogalaxy. It lasts about 25 minutes and Howard talks about how Freddie Jr.s old girlfriend said he has the firmest "abs" she's ever seen! ( I wonder what Freddie Sr.s abs looked like--he was always reluctant to show more skin!)

This Howard Stern interview wasn't too bad--(they didn't trash Freddie Sr), but they did talk alot about Freddie Jr and Sarah Michelle's sex life! Sounded like a bunch of teenagers! I wonder if Freddie Sr. would laugh or blush if he listened to that!?!

There is a free thing called HOTBAR (www.hotbar.com) where you can put it on your puter & have skins (Pics) on your webbrowser (INTERNET EXPLORER & NETSCAPE). It does install a search toolbar on your webbrowser in order to make it free. You can make skins for it. I had made a coupla Freddie skins for it but they came out way too distorted looking. I finally made one that turned out okay. It's too big to attach & put on here so I am putting a smaller version of it on here. If you want the whole thing to use with HOTBAR just e-mail me & I can send it to ya that way. The full size is 800 by 135 I think. I'm no Dani or Luckymama but here goes. Enjoy!

How I made them up was I took some pics of him & made them into t-shirt designs on my puter & then bought in somewhere like WALMART a t-shirt transfer kit where you print out the pics onto the transfers to make the transfer & then you iron it on. I bought some of those feminine looking t-shirts with the rounded neck on them & took them to a T-shirt place in Nags Head to iron them on...

Well I made up some more t-shirts of Freddie & had them done in Nags Head while I am there now. I took this nice pic of Freddie from a magazine that was autographed (He autographed it before they printed it in the magazine) that was cute & had it made into a t-shirt transfer. It came out great & so did the one I did of Chico & Ed. I had a pic of Freddie put on a longsleeve wine colored t-shirt & that one came out too dark & not right. Sigh... I found out from the t-shirt store that you have to use white or light yellow t-shirts in order for it to work. But the 2 that did good, I LOVE them! :) I want to take the cover of the REEL SOUL magazine with Freddie in it that I have & make a t-shirt of it.That is such a hot pic & that cover will make a great shirt! I'll get it done when I come back to Nags head in June! :)

I found this hot pic of Freddie baby on the internet here:

http://wireimage.com/GalleryListing.asp?navtyp=SRH&str=freddie+prinze&styp=&sfld=A&PageNum=3&sortval=4d

It's the bottom bw one with the girl. Let's lose her out of the pic! :D See one of Arlos friends wrote his message board the link to a site with some pics of him on it. I went to the site & checked it out & man were there some hot pics of him on it. After viewing the Arlo pics, I saw the site had a search feature so I searched for Freddie & there he was in all his Hungarican glory! Thanks Arlo & friends! :) I dunno how to make the pic show up bigger tho...

Uh oh to download it you gotta subscribe to a service from them & the one level of service is at the cheapest $10 a month & doesn't allow ya to save the pics or download them. YUCK! Can't afford that. I did save the pic on my hard drive at the size it is. I tried enlarging it & it makes it too blurry. If anyone knows how to enlarge it without it being blurry do let me know.

Here it is: http://64.14.51.252/images/thumbnail/336668.jpg

How is this, Cheryl?

You are right, if I enlarge it more, it blurs too much. I went from 72 to 200 resolution and I don't dare go any higher!

That's a beautiful picture Lucky don't you have the same one in that magazine you recently posted on Suzanne's site,Because isn't that gal Lisa F?
He sure looks happier there with her than in any picture i ever saw of him with Kathy.
I don't mean to start anything with that comment it's just my opinon

Great job on the pic! Thanks! :)

Yeah, I thought that was Lisa Farringer. He sure does look happier with her. Bet he's sorry he didn't marry her. I don't know ho good a wife he would've been for her as I read that after she & Freddie broke up she went to John Travolta & had been dating alot of actors so I wondered if she was going from guy to guy. Who knows? I wish he had been still happy instead of being so sad...

That is soooo cool what you did with that pic of him walking! What would be so neat would be to animate it & have it where he's walking/dancing to the music! GET DOWN TONITE by KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND or BOOGIE NITES by HEATWAVE would make great background music for it. Woo-Hoo! :)

Cheryl,
Thanks for the beautiful pic of Freddie. You are always so kind to share with us. And also, thanks for the plug on the fan fiction site. I'm glad you are reading the stories, but am afraid you are the only one. Your support and comments are appreciated.

Thank you!!!

I love the fan fictions & sure hope others are reading them too. If you're not reading them folks, I just may have to copy them & send them to ya in an e-mail so you have to read them. If that don't work we might have to do an Ed Brown LOL!

Now lets get on over to the fan fiction site & do some reading! :) YOU GOT IT? You'll love the stories there! :)Show your support to the writers & read the fan fictions & check them out! :) If you love Freddie you'll want to read them. :)

That last pic of Freddie is so hot! :)

I found a pic of him up for bid on E-Bay but it had the word sharpies printed all over it. I guess they wanted to discourage us from trying to save it on our puters. I hate that!!!! I tried to fix it up correctly but couldn't get the skin fixed right. Anyone know how I can fix the skin up right? Cloning doesn't work right with it for the face. :( Here it is...
