Ellen's Talk Show Sticking Around for Years to Come
By PopEater Staff

With glowing reviews on American Idol and a new deal to keep her talk show running for the next few years, Ellen DeGeneres isn't going anywhere any time soon.
Her show's distributor, a unit of Warner Bros. TV, has renewed The Ellen DeGeneres Show until at least 2014 on all stations owned by NBC, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The news effectively strikes down rumors that she would end up on ABC as a replacement for the departing queen of talk, Oprah Winfrey. Ellen is currently second in the ratings; only Winfrey pulls in more daily viewers.
DeGeneres expressed her elation at the news in a statement, saying she's "so excited" to stay at NBC. "They were the ones that believed in my show from day one."
She'll be 56 when her new contract is up, and DeGeneres jokingly warned her fans of changes to come.
"Things will be a lot different by then. I won't be dancing over my coffee table anymore. Through the magic of 3-D, I'll be dancing over yours."
The TV personality is currently moonlighting as a judge on the biggest show on TV, American Idol.
