Like the title says :) , we've finally gotten to the 80s with Warner Bros Saturday morning cartoon collections. The 1st volume will be out May 4th 2010 and includes such rare classics as Mr T, the Monchhichis, Dragons Lair, Flintstone Kids etc. Can't wait for this. These rare shows might not warrant an individual dvd release, so get them whilst you can on these volumes!

I wonder if any of The Puppy's Great/Further Adventures will be on it. I would buy it just for that.

I'd like there to also be some Biskitts or Pac Man episodes on there, but not sure if they come under Warner Bros. There's always Vol 2 to pin your hopes on. Not sure how quickly they release the next volume.

The ones you mentioned are pretty well covered with their own season sets. I think these are specifically for the more quirky 80s cartoon which might not have that big a demand as a stand alone series. Saying that I'd commit to full seasons of Pac Man, Monchhichis and the Biskitts!

There was a cartoon I always watched on Saturdays when I was a kid in the 80's but I don't remember the name :confused: . All I remember about it was it involved people on other planets who had powers and maybe a princess was involved. I remember there was a bunch of munckin like or small people. Anyone might have a clue what this is? :confused:

No clue about your cartoon TV Fan. The premise could roughly fit so many cartoons around that time lol. If you have any more info let me know. I thought it could be The Paw Paw Bears or Galaxy High - but maybe not.

Anyway the other cartoons on this set have been announced and I'm beyond happy that The Biskitts are included as well as another favourite Chuck Norris : Karate Kommandos! This is turning out to be an epic set for me!

Actually Robby, I think I found the answer, but thanks anyway. After doing a little research online I'm pretty sure it was Blackstar. That's already on DVD so I may have to check it out.

Now there's another cartoon I'm pretty sure is from the late 80's like 1989 and all I can remember is a blond haired boy and his robot named tebo or tibo or something. For some reason I think there's characters that transform into soemthing else (probably a rip off of transformers), or I could be thinking of another cartoon.

Anyway I think I'll be picking up this Saturday Morning Cartoons DVD set because this has brought back a lot of memories and I would love to see some Thundarr again :)

That sounds like MASK. The vehicles did transform and there was a robot called T-Bob. :) I used to have quite a few of the toys. The series is from '85.

i used to love ed grimley. it was live action then it would be cartoon.. i been trying to rember the name for years. does any one know how many epsidoesdo you get? is it like five or 10. i wont buy it if its not that many epsidoes.

With these sets you usually just get one episode of each show... at a push two. It really is just a 'taster'.

I'd forgotten all about Blackstar until you reminded me. What a blast from the past! It was those little pink guys that brought it all back... haha.
