View Full Version : GSN is hanging by a thread dakert 02-07-2010, 11:50 PM I am only able to watch Chain Reaction and Lingo 2:30-4pm. I cant stand Deal or no deal or any of those other BS shows where they drag out the answer. :p TV Knowledge Fan 02-08-2010, 02:32 AM ...when you say "GSN is hanging by a thread". I know that their channel is in a low position on my cable system's lineup [channel 179], and their schedule is in yet another state of "flux" {with the addition of Carnie Wilson's new weight-loss reality series and "HIDDEN AGENDA"}. However, my mother watches "DEAL OR NO DEAL" and both versions of "FAMILY FEUD" from 7-9pm(et) when nothing else is on that suits her (unless it's, say, "THE BIGGEST LOSER"), so obvously they know something of what the "average viewer" wants to see. I do miss the late night black and white "classic game show" lineup they scheduled up until a few years ago....just remember that "dark period" when they bought repeats of "THE AMAZING RACE" a few years back, and "burned them off" late at night before they realized no one was actually watching them... :sleep2: rodwayne 02-19-2010, 12:00 PM Good;GOOD!!! Frist, this channel is suppose to be about game shows;not about CARRIE WILSON and her "dog and pony" show. All she is suppose to do is host THE NEWLYWED GAME,and she can't even do that(Someone;please call BOB EUBANKS)If they go back to what they original did, they'll do fine, but they won't,claiming that it's not what the demographics want;how in the :cuss: do they know?!Stop aimming for the neir-do wells 18-24 year old white male audience. All these channels need to do that! McFly121 03-05-2010, 02:56 AM Ugh, vomitorium. Saved about a hundred bucks the last year because of their crappy line-up (stopped subbing to the package that has GSN). Man, the glory days of an afternoon of: Convy Password, PYL, Combs Feud, old Wheel, old Jeopardy, and I'll throw in Pyramid for you Pyramid fans. If they brought those back, plus 1,000,000 Chance of a Lifetime, Geoff Edwards Chain Reaction, and Woolery Scrabble...well, that'd be worth $10 a month. |
