Anyone else think Tennessee Ernie would have made a good spin-off from I Love Lucy?

Although, in a long career, Tennessee Ernie Ford hosted both prime-time and
daytime variety shows, he never starred in a sitcom. But you're right--I think
it would have been a very good vehicle for him.

That's a great idea. And Ernie could have sung occasionally on his show much like Desi did on I Love Lucy. And think of the crossover episodes they could have had!

And think of all the interesting and funny characters that would have been introduced!
