I was wondering how come Mallory never got along with Skippy on Family Ties.

I think the reason why Mallory didn't get along with Skippy is because Mallory wanted to fit in. She wanted to be in the popular crowd. If Mallory had gotten along with Skippy her friends may have not wanted to be her friend. I think Mallory believe that she was cool and that Skippy wasn't. It's a shame that Mallory was so mean to Skippy. Mallory rarely was nice to him.

You're absolutely right Jenny. Mallory was very much concerned about what other people thought and wanted to be considered cool. So she didn't want to be perceived as being friends with Skippy since she knew most people saw him as a nerd.
