I know it's probably not a lot of comfort, but at least you are not alone in your frustration and sadness. Best of luck in securing employment; I know from experience it's a very tough job market, so if it takes you a while to find something don't despair. Family Ties Forever! 02-04-2010, 10:42 PM Sorry to hear that. browneyes106 02-04-2010, 11:44 PM I'm sorry to hear about your job loss. The same thing happened to a friend of mine. He got a job a matress factory and after a few weeks he lost his job because they had to downsize and employees that had been working 6 months or less lost their jobs. LuLu Rogers 02-05-2010, 12:06 AM Thank you all for your kind words. Basically, my supervisor came through each department and evaluated all of the new employees last week. The line I was working on is the hardest line in the plant to work on, but apparently that doesn't matter because I got a terrible score on my evaluation. He pretty much gave me the rest of last week to get better. I obviously didn't, at least not to him, so in not so many words, it came down to quit or be fired, so I quit. I don't know your plant, but I'd bet money that your supervisor has never actually WORKED on your line, or really has much idea of what it entails. Instead of just telling employees to go faster, he should be offering suggestions to enable you to do so. That is, after all, part of his job. Well, onward and upward. When one door closes, another opens. I wish you lots of luck. :) Scoobiedoo30 02-05-2010, 12:35 AM I am so very sorry to here that you lost your job. ponytail 02-05-2010, 06:45 AM Sorry about your job. I work in a warehouse and my superviser has never done most of the jobs involved, but he tells us how we should be doing them. And I hate it when you go for a job the interviewer makes it sound like a great place to work but in reality it's awful. Places like Sara Lee must hire alot. I'm sure you weren't the only one quitting or being fired. You'll find something better, stay positive. PZelda 02-05-2010, 10:42 AM WTH, Lauren?!?! I'm sorry, that really stinks. :( Maybe it was for the best. Hopefully you won't have to wait long to find another job. I wish I could conjure up jobs for you, and for everybody else here who is currently unemployed, where I work - we are ALWAYS understaffed... Blah! treky 02-06-2010, 12:45 AM I'm really, really sorry for you Lauren sweetie. That really stinks, and I hope you find something else really soon. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers!!! :bighug: Schmoopie 02-06-2010, 05:04 AM I'm really sorry to hear about this Lauren. Hope things get brighter soon! OH Nuts! 02-06-2010, 06:33 PM Sorry to hear this Lauren, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to get something new extra great...cause you deserve it!
