I just recently bought The Doris Day Show the Complete series. On the extras for the third season, Phillip Brown, who played Billy, Doris' older son, gives an interview. I was stunned when he commented that Tod Starke, who played Toby, was killed in a motorcycle accident in 1983. He was 21.

Yea, that was very sad to hear.

Reminds me of Bobby Buntrock, who played Harold on "Hazel" who also met a tragic demise early in his young adulthood.

If I am not mistaken Phillip does a lot of commercials. I see him in a ?celebriex ad. He did one a few years ago for Miracle Grow. He has kept himself visible .

Philip Brown also appeared in the Me-TV Doris Day Day marathon, along with most of the living former cast members. It was nice to see him here again. I've also seen him in an interview on one of the show's DVD extras.
