Did the cast get along with Snadra? It must have been hard with Alice just passing away to have a different actress.

I've heard and read that she was well-liked. Sandra actually knew George Tobias (Abner) from years earlier when they had done a movie together. She also stayed in touch with Kasey Rogers (Louise #2), Bernard Fox (Dr. Bombay) and Erin Murphy (Tabitha) until her passing in 1999. She also spoke very highly of both Elizabeth Montgomery and Dick York as well.

In Herbie J. Pilato's book, Bewitched Forever, Sandra said that she wanted to take Gladys in a new direction. She felt that imitating Alice's take on the character would have been unfair to both her and Alice. So Sandra decided to put her own spin on Gladys. I think she did the best job she could despite entering under such sad circumstances.

I liked Sandra as Gladys. She was different than Alice and it was good that she played Gladys differently. I loved they way she yelled "Abner" in that Brooklyn accent: "Abnah! Abnah!" :lol:
