I haven't seen The Hurt Locker yet but I have seen Avatar. Avatar is very good.

I haven't decided about Best Picture yet, because so far the only one I've seen is "Precious." But here are my picks:

Best Director: Quentin Tarantino - I would love to see his acceptance speech! I just really hope James Cameron doesn't win.

Best Actor: Colin Firth (Jeff Bridges comes in second)

Best Actress: Meryl Streep - come on! She hasn't won in over 25 years. Let's give the lady her second Best Actress award.

Best Supporting Actor: Christopher Plummer - He's Captain Von Trapp. Need I say more?

Best Supporting Actress: Mo'Nique. She was ASTONISHING in Precious. Fantastic work.

Best Foreign: The White Ribbon. I haven't seen it yet, but it sounds wonderful und ich liebe Deutschland!

Best Animated: The Princess and the Frog. Love, love, love this movie! Love it love it love it. It's so my type of movie. Although I can tell you right now that it's not going to win. "Up" has it in the bag.

I agree. I don't get all the Bullock love. I mean, I do enjoy her very much as an actress, but not where this year's Oscar's are concerned. I just can't see that role being anything any other actress couldn't have pulled off.

I completely agree with you. Streep and Sidibe were the best, but Bullock's unfortunately gotten all the buzz.

I will be absolutely shocked (faint) if District 9 wins. I do like the film but come on.. look at the competition.

No Doubt "Avatar" will win Best Picture as well as the other categories that it's nominated for.

"Up" will probably come in second.

I saw The Blind Side and I thought it was a great movie. While I thought Sandra Bullock was good in this movie , I didn't think her performance was great or Oscar worthy. Just my opinion.
