I was just made aware of an interesting book that was published a few years back about Robert Weeks. Although the book is written as a work of fiction it is based largely in part on the author's relationship in the eighties with Weeks.

The book's author Rose Marie Kinder was involved with Robert Weeks in the eighties and found out one evening while watching "Unsolved Mysteries" that Weeks was in fact a suspected serial killer who had potentially murdered four people (the fourth was a business partner of Weeks named Jim Shaw whom I suspect wasn't profiled on UM because they decided to profile Weeks solely as a predator who preyed upon women). In the end Kinder was one of several people who testified against Weeks at his trial where he was sentenced to life imprisonment despite the fact that none of the bodies of his victims had turned up.

Kinder published "An Absolute Gentleman" under the name R.M. Kinder in 2007 as a work of fiction after years of attempting to tell Weeks' story in non-fiction form and not making any headway with it.

Thanks for this information. This case was one of the first ones I saw and despite it being updated, it freaked me out. He even winked and smiled as he was being put into the car. Unbelievable.
