This is the case of Steve Wilson. Steve married Callie Thornburgh, who was the daughter of rancher Bill Thornburgh. Actually, Bill had encouraged Callie to marry Steve, because he thought that Callie needed more in her life than the ranch and her Dad :(

I think Steve was captured and convicted of killing Bill Thornburgh, escaped from prison, and was then recaptured.

The killer's name is Steve Wilson. The murder victim was his father-in-law, Bill Thornburgh. He was also profiled on America's Most Wanted, and eventually became that show's 200th capture. He was caught in 1992, when he was found living in England.

Apparently Callie Thornburgh Is an accomplish endurance horseback rider, which I guess means you ride a horse for a great length of time. She talked about her dad on one of the pages :(
