when it comes to coaches-turned-TV-analysts, Bradshaw suggests you shouldn't assume they feel like they have anything left to prove. While he says he doesn't know CBS' Bill Cowher or ESPN's Jon Gruden, he's not sure either is itching to get back on the sidelines. He thinks Gruden would go back first, while Cowher would hold out for "the perfect situation. … But if you have enough money and a fluff job like TV, why coach?"

But Bradshaw himself says "at 61, I need new challenges."

So, here's his latest: starring in Las Vegas in his own "stand-up comedy act, with singing and a chorus, that's based on my speeches."

Huh? No really, he insists, saying writers have worked on the idea for two years, rehearsals start this spring and — the show biz gods willing — it will open with a month in Vegas in August and go on to casinos and "big venues."

He sounds game: "This could be big. I might have to get toupees, liposuction."

Well a few years ago "Monday Night Football" hired a comedian (Dennis Miller) to do color commentary in an experiment that lasted one season. So I guess football is now getting it's revenge on the comedy world!

Hopefully he'll fare better as a comedian than as a country music singer. Here's Terry singing the Hank Williams' Classic "I'm so Lonesome I Could Cry" from Pop Goes the Country.

Did this actually say he was retiring or not? I didn't see that.

I would not be sad to see him go, I can't think of anything of value he has said recently.
