I read that Shout is putting this out in May over at tvshowsondvd.com's facebook discussion. Could this be true?
Note: I posted this message here because there didn't seem to be a board for this series under Classic Dramas.

Yes it is true, per their newsletter which I received last night. It is due out May 4th and will include the two hour pilot movie.

Fantastic News!!!! Can't wait for this.
Hmmm, I subscribe to their newsletter and I didn't receive it. And I'm one of their biggest customers. ~ha,ha~ I'll see if there was some mix-up.
Thanks for the scoop!

I must be special than
Here is a cut & paste from the newsletter which I'm sure will be up on the website soon:
Marcus Welby Knows Best
We’ve been fortunate enough to release Seasons 1-4 of Father Knows Best, starring a 1950s-era Robert Young, and are now delving into his 1970s follow-up hit, Marcus Welby, M.D. The popular series—the #1 ranker was ABC’s first hit—centers on the Santa Monica-based doctor who actually makes house calls. The rock star of a GP shares his practice with the younger and more by-the-book Dr. Kilby, portrayed by James Brolin. Both actors earned Emmys® for their roles and went on to play these characters for seven seasons. Look for the first season in a 7-DVD set, which will include the original two-hour pilot movie “A Matter Of Humanities,” on May 4.

Thanks for that TV Fan! tvshowsondvd.com is now reporting on the news. Funny, the thread about it on their facebook page has been deleted. Apparently, they don't like to be scooped.

No problem Robert. I'm not a facebook member so I only follow the main tvshowsondvd.com site.

For anyone who is interested, I was able to upload a picture of the coverart which, I think, is a perfect design for the show.

Good job! I'm thinking about getting this. I haven't seen that much of "Welby," and the cover art makes it all the more appealing.
