What WAS that thing the gorilla threw at the end? I don't get the joke with the Professor's comment about it not being a grenade. Forgive my naivete if this is common knowledge.

What do you think Gilligan's reaction actually was to Ginger's serenading him?
He seems to have a range of expressions.

Whose outfit (guys) do you think is more provocative--Ginger's USO or Maryann's army outfit?

Again, poor Maryann, another pie wasted!

Why do you think Maryann was holding the pillow with the award, wouldn't that have been something fitting for the Skipper to do?

The chaotic cave scene is pretty funny.

Do most people know how to skip rocks as Gilligan does? (again, I'm naive) If not, who generally knows how?

It always amazes me how lethal the pin sticks seem to be on the island. Yes, if you ***** your bare finger while trying to attach a pin, it will hurt a bit, but through your clothes?

Why isn't Lovey scared about the whole enemy attack thing--she merely tells Gilligan to surrender and be back in time for lunch! In fact, none of the women really display much fear. Ginger immediately offers to be a spy and Maryann is all into the hospital "war thing" with Lovey. Would you say that is weird or am I missing something?

Do you think the gorilla was actually dangerous to them, aside from his wanting to throw the grenades--Gilligan was right with him playing grenade throw with him at the end and playing officer in the last scene.

The thing the gorilla threw at the end was an atomic bomb, if the mushroom cloud is any indication. Of course, it should have blown up the island!

I'd say Gilligan looks more embarrassed than anything else. By the way, I've always found this scene puzzling. Every other time Ginger sings, it's integral to the plot. "Allouette" helps reunite the Howells, "You Need Us" intimidates the Mosquitoes," "I Wanna Be Loved Be You" becomes the song Mary Ann emulates, etc. But here, Ginger's lengthy singing scene has nothing to do with the plot, and isn't even particularly funny. It's an odd detour in a show with otherwise tight scripts. Was this script too short and they needed some filler? Did Tina particularly want to do this song?

To skip rocks, you need very flat rocks, and the angle must be just right. I don't think I could do it. It's a cute scene though: the kind of thing a little boy would do.

The women do seem oddly unconcerned about the whole war thing: perhaps because Mr. Howell's elaborate play-acting makes the whole thing seem like a game anyway, and the women never actually see the grenade attacks.

Gorillas tend to be very gentle animals, and Gilligan seems to be able to tame them anyhow. He's quite angry with Howell for shooting at the creature. Is this the same gorilla that took Mrs. Howell, and the same one Gilligan drilled in "The Chain of Command"? Is there a breeding troupe? And what on earth are African gorillas doing on a South Pacific Island? Perhaps another ship bound for a zoo lost its cargo!
