Remaking that classic was worse than casting Vince Vaughn in it.

I fully agree with that.

What I think they should have done, if they felt they had to do it again, was to make the film more loyal to the novel.

Things like having Norman Bates look more like Vincent D'Onofrio; in the novel Bates was in his mid-40s, bald, and overweight.

Also having Norman decapitate Marion Crane in the shower like how the novel described.

That would have been more interesting, and better in my opinion, instead of doing what they did which was an updated shot-for-shot carbon copy.

This might sound dumb but...

Phil Hartman should've played Henry Mitchell in the film version of "Dennis the Menace" (Since he did the voice of Henry in the Animated Series and could pull it off in the movie version).

Ashton Kutchner and Sean William Scott should've played Lloyd and Harry (respeactful-Lee) in the movie "When Harry Met Lloyd".

Michael Keaton in Batman

Total agreement.

Let's add pretty much the entire cast of "Watchmen" except Jackie Earle Hayley.

Also: Eric Bana as Bruce Banner in "Hulk".

Gary Cooper in "Love in the Afternoon". This is a wonderful movie, but he was much too old to be paired with Audrey Hepburn. In fact, the movie producers must have thought so too. Every time they kiss, the screen fades to black. Really! I don't think Gary Cooper was much younger than Maurice Chevalier, who played her father. It did work, though. Of course, Audrey is so adorable in this film that she could have been paired with anyone and I would love it!

Here's a picture from one of my favorite scenes:

Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane in "Superman Returns"

Agreed. She was too young and too much a lightweight to play the feisty Lois.

You need someone with some guts and some moxie, like Margot Kidder or Erica Durance.

As for miscasting -- George Clooney in just about anything. The man cannot act!

Will Farrell as Darrin Stephens in the Bewitched Movie.

I would've preferred Jim Carrey for the Darrin role. He actually looks a lot like Dick York.

How about Jessica Alba as Susan Storm/The Invisible Woman in the Fantastic Four movies? Or Denise Richards as a nuclear scientist in a James Bond movie!?
