There is a close-up shot of the hat that I want/need. It's near the end of the shows opening credits. Mary is standing still, and the camera pans around her head, with a close-up of her hat. It's right before the toss. The hat is seen in various shots/scenes in the shows opening credits, from different side/angles.

Somebody is going to make me a tam hat like the one that Mary Tyler Moore (Mary Richards, The Mary Tyler Moore Show) wore, and tossed up into the air in the opening credits of The Mary Tyler Moore Show. This is something that I've always wanted.

I'd buy one, but they don't sell them. Nobody that I know of makes them. They were never marketed/sold. They were never commercially released.

But, all joking/kidding aside, I'd like to come as close to the original hat as possible.

The Mary Tyler Moore Show is one of my favorite shows. I'd greatly appreciate it.
