I noticed that there was often a drenching rain in Minnesota when there was a depressing theme. It was raining when Charles Jr. died, when Julia Sanderson died, during the investigation of John Jr.'s death, when Caroline went to the mining camp to help her sick friend and when Charles tried to help the man who had a heart attack.

And didn't Almanzo have a stroke because he was sick and lying in the rain?

There have been many weather-related stories, but when it rained on LHOP, it poured!

Too bad it didn't rain when the blind school caught on fire. That's the one time they could have really used it.

And Laura could have used some rain when she was pregnant and had to haul buckets to water the crops during the drought!
