I know that only a relatively small percentage of UM fans post on SO but realistically how many UM fans are there that don't post here?

The show is so old I don't think there could be too many unfortunately but I hope I'm wrong.

I saw it about 3 to 4 weeks ago and it was actually good. It's not as good as the original but better than no UM.

It's not as old as some of the other shows covered on this board. I post here sometimes but mainly if I find an article related to one of the cases covered on the show. UM was one show that I didn't get to see too often during it's original run because I was working 2nd shift at the time.

Honestly, I think it has less to do with the age of the show than it does the fact that, I'm sure, a very large percentage of fans are not even aware that this site exists.

When you do a google search on a name, who you have seen on a UM segment, (I see them on youtube) you are likely to find this board. That's how I found it numerous times. I only joined after I saw the Ann Perez case.

I'm not a "regular" at this site like I am at some others, but I love UM and I make it a point to drop by regularly. I often don't have anything interesting to say, so I read more than I write.

I don't know how you can measure this accurately. I'm sure there are people who like UM but don't have the internet. Or there could be folks who like UM, and do have the internet but don't know about SO. Or there could be folks who have the internet, like UM, know about this forum, but don't like the forum for some reason or don't make a point to visit it regularly.

There are a handful of people who post semi-regularly to that UM forum on IMDB and they have not made it over here for some reason. Why, I have no idea. But from the quality of posts over there, I doubt were missing much.

I also know that many UM fans register and then mainly just lurk here. Some have told me they have lurked here for years before joining so even though its always been a very active board, there are even more who are around just reading our posts.

Yes its still on. In fact two episodes were on this morning. I have a series recording set up for it on my dvr and there are probably at least 5 episodes being aired a week.

Not sure exactly when its on but during the middle of the week its on in the middle of the night around 2 I think. It is on Sunday mornings at 8 and 9 am central time. The channel is Spike TV.

One was a guy named Charlie I think and he sold newspapers on the street in San Fransisco and they called it "Charlie's Corner". He lived in a small apartment and died suddenly and left $60,000 in a McDonald's bag!!

The other was a guy who was an army vet I think from back in WWII and he really wanted to marry this one girl but something happened and she rejected him and then he NEVER married and lived all alone in an apartment building his entire life!

It was really a SAD story of this lifelong loner and no one knew he actually owned the apartment building he lived in and he left about $200 grand worth of cash and property behind. They said he lived a VERY frugal life and even showed a scene where he heated up a can of beans or something for dinner eventhough he had all that money!

Did they ever find the rightful heirs to either of them?

This sort of fits me, too. Whenever I'm particularly interested in a case, I search for the threads on it, and it seems like all that is pertinent to say has been said by someone else. So I read a lot.

I've been a fan since the Karl Malden special that featured Wanda Jean Mays. I was probably a pre-teen when it first aired and the reenactment of the supposed sighting of Wanda sort of wandering down the road in clothes that were too big for her haunted me forever. It was gratifying, then, that her case was finally solved after all these years, even it the news was very sad.

I post some links to articles sometimes, but since I am a student. school coming soon so I post less.

My sister and I are both big UM fans. I post here, obviously, though not as often as I used to (I haven't gotten any "new" UM cases to watch for quite awhile now, and I HATE the SPIKE version, so I've said much of what I want to say), and I've tried to get my sister to post. She did, once, but never since.

My husband and I are fans and both of us post here, although not as frequently as we'd like. We've also done research on various cases for our own edification and hope to contribute more when we can. I have to say, when we first met and discovered we were both fans of the show, well, that was a great reason to keep talking :)

Myself, I am a fan of unsolved murders/missing persons cases mostly. UFO's...not so much.

I watch the original, lifetime version and now spike tv. i have lurked here for about 3 years and finally joined! There are a lot of lurkers believe it or not.
