Anyone get cold sores/fever blisters?

I hate cold sores. I know some people call them fever blisters. Cold sores hurt and look awful. I get them from time to time. Cold sores make me feel ugly. I have one right now. :(

I always get those mixed up with "canker sores", which I believe are usually on the tongue. Cold sores are inside the cheek, right? And if that's right, yes, they are very painful and very annoying. But if you say that they can be seen (I'm assuming by others), you must mean they occur somewhere other than the inside of the cheek.

At any rate, you shouldn't feel ugly. It's a virus that's beyond your control and I'm sure almost everyone gets them. Good luck; I hope it disappears soon. :)

The cold sores are on the lip. I have gotten them since I was little. I wish I never got them.

I get them every year without fail. From what I understand it's caused by a form of the herpes virus, which is why it continues to come back.

Mine are on the inside of my mouth; those are really an aphis ulcer. Your dermatologist can give you medication for them, which your body will get used to, and then you willl need a different prescription.

You're lucky. I wish I could say that.

I've been lucky in that respect. One of my girlfriends used to get a big cold sore every year in the mustache area. We used to joke around and put our left arms straight out and say, Heil Hitler!, lol.
