i thought we should start a thread about the new MTV reality show that is about my lif...i mean, about the random Italian people who moved to the Jersey Shore for the summer and caused havoc with their crazy antics and their foul language.

personally, i feel like the show is filled with some very smart intellectuals, particularly Snooki and The Situation, who are clearly well-read, valued members of society.

how do you feel about the controversy? IMO, "guido" is not a derogatory comment, it's a compliment, like "smart". the people on the show aren't role models anyway, maybe if people need someone to look up to they should call the Super Mario Brothers or something.

anyway. in all honesty. i thought i would hate this show. yet somehow, i cant look away. its a little bit like when you're driving on the highway, and you see a car crash. you know it's awful, but you look anyway.

well sometimes, i like to see it on the big HD screen. it's even more life-like than real life. there's really nothing like seeing giant arrogant guidos and orange overtanned guidettes on a nice big HDTV screen, you can't get the same effect from looking at them in real life (which, as you said, i can just look out my window and see).

I only watched the show because of the hot girls.
