As someone that is form NH I have look into the Connecticut River Valley Killer and the idea of Michael Nicholaou as the killer. As I been looking in the case I see there more proof that Michael Nicholaou is not this monster size serial killer peoples think he is. Don't get me wrong I think he is a sick monster. I just think people on websleuths sites use him because it fast to blame hin on cases like Colonial Parkway Killer, the Route 29 Stalker, the Blue Ridge Parkway Rapist, and the murderer of Julianne Williams and Lollie Winans at Shenandoah National Park.

As I look more into Michael Nicholaou I see two things that rule him out. When the Connecticut River Valley Killer was more active Michael Nicholaou live in Holyoke, Massachusetts that a good 90 mil away and the last know part of the killing Nicholaou live in VA. In most cases of serial killers like Dennis Rader they like to stay close to home where they feel safe the most. If you look where most of killing happen close to the city of Claremont, New Hampshire that may mean the killer is form that area and that why he know how to get around that place.

Reading into the case I think the Connecticut River Valley Killer may have been a local truck driver maybe ever a delivery man. He could have been a hunter or any type of sportsman that whyhe know where to dump the bodies because they could be where he hunt. a other idea that he could be a police officer that why he knew why to do in that area.

Looking in the NH Cold cases Unit it has to be ask if the killer could be still be active. Take a look for yourself http://doj.nh.gov/coldcaseunit/maps/index.htm there been cases form 68 to today that feel like the Connecticut River Valley Killer.

That my take

You make some very compelling points! I too doubt that this Nicholaou fellow is the serial killer in question.
