Just because something seems to be dead, doesn’t mean it’s gone. Just ask Michael Strahan. His comedy series Brothers may have been dropped from Fox’s 2010 schedule, but—in a year of new beginnings—you never know what’s around the corner.

“I don’t know if we’re going to be back on Fox, but we do have other networks that are interested in doing the show,” Michael Strahan told TV Guide Magazine at the NAACP Image Awards Nominations Press Conference in Beverly Hills. “It’s just a matter of getting everybody on board to make it happen.”

Meanwhile, Strahan has nothing but brotherly love for his co-star Daryl “Chill” Mitchell who received an “Outstanding Actor in a Comedy Series” nomination at the ceremony. “I’m calling Chill immediately,” he said, referencing his co-star who is wheelchair bound both on-screen and in real life. “He’s so funny and he’s such a good guy. The way he lives his life and the situation that’s been put in front of him? You’d never know. He’s such a happy guy. He never feels sorry for himself. It’s encouraging and inspiring for everybody else. I’m happy for him.”

Should the show return, the former NFL football star turned actor already has big ideas for his character. “I would like to have a relationship,” he admitted. “I’d like to do a kissing scene. I’ve never had one of those. Chill got one… I didn’t get one. I’m hurt by that. I think that’s why he got nominated… because he got a kissing scene!”

Who would he like to smooch on-screen? “Where’s Tatyana Ali?” he teased, referencing another NAACP nominee. “I saw her around here earlier. That would be nice.”

One thing he won’t kiss-and-tell about—which networks have been courting the show. “I’m not teasing until it’s a done deal!”

....is because they neither own or produce it. SONY Pictures Television does, and I believe it was part of a "package deal" included in the renewal of SONY's "'TIL DEATH" (which is currently "hanging by a slender thread" while Fox figures out what to do with it). The first sign the network didn't know how to "handle" it was scheduling it on Fridays at 8pm(et), with "'TIL DEATH" following it. But 8pm currently "belongs" to CBS' "GHOST WHISPERER", with the other networks far behind in total viewers. And "BROTHERS" was usually dead last in the ratings. So, Fox figured, 'let's schedule it after NFL fooball on several Sunday nights at 7pm {just before "THE SIMPSONS"}, and see where that leads to'. Nowhere, that's where! That's why they "burned" off the final episodes two Sundays ago. "BROTHERS" definitely deserves another chance on a network that "appreciates" it. I know executive producer Michael Strahan will find one...

As for Fox, they just don't know how to properly program a situation comedy anymore....even if they owned it {"BACK TO YOU", a glaring example of two seasons back}!

The other reason was that no new show succeds on a Friday Time at 8pm

I was checking out the reruns that air late nights on FOX on Saturdays after the Wanda Sykes Show.
