Wholesome all-American Glee stars Matthew Morrison (Will), Lea Michele (Rachel), Cory Monteith (Finn) and Chris Colfer (Kurt) are getting animated like never before for a spring episode of Fox's The Cleveland Show.
"It was awesome to do," raves Lea, who can't wait to see her cartoon likeness. "I'm a huge Cleveland Show fan and I've been literally stalking them to let me come on."
Lea's stalking paid off, though the Glee cast's appearance is no more than a quickie cameo with each of the characters quipping a line of defining dialogue typical of their characters' personalities. Rachel, for instance, merely hits a high note. "All Kurt says is 'Marc Jacobs' and 'Broadway', because that's all Kurt knows,'" says Chris, while Cory tells me his character's only quip is: "Girls and football...but dancing?"
It seems Fox may be planning an all-out promotion to relaunch their new critical darling when Glee rejoins its lineup with new episodes this April. I'm hearing the network has also asked Bones to cook up a musical-themed murder plot for Booth and Brennan. Maybe they can find the bloodied corpse of Jane Lynch's wicked gym coach Sue Sylvester? There are certainly enough suspects!
