I was 8-years-old when it first came out, although I didn't start watching until a few years later. My parents absolutely refused to let me watch, and they were pretty liberal with my TV viewing. The show is pretty tame compared to some of the stuff that's on TV now.

I was 5 years old when the Christmas Special was shown and was 6 around the time the first season premiered. I'm turning 25 next weekend.
To answer your question, yes, I was watching The Simpsons at that young age and I loved it. I remember seeing the Christmas special and the first 5-10 episodes before my mother decided I should grow up a bit before I start watching it again!

I was 3 years old when they first aired on the Tracey Ulman Show and 5 years old when the Simpsons Christmas Special made it debut on televison. When I was kid I was lucky enough to see a some of the early episodes, but after a certain point my mom didn't let me watch it anymore because the adult humor and language became an issue.

I was 28. I started watching it regularly after the 4th or 5th episode.

I was 7 when "The Simpsons" was on...and I was one of the few who couldn't watch it at the time.

It wasn't until I was 15 when I saw it. Then I stopped watching the show 5 years later...and I wound-up watching "Family Guy" and "South Park"...which are MORE Brutal than "The Simpsons".

I was only 3 years old at the time, so I wasn't old enough to watch yet. It wasn't until about 1998 or so that I got hooked on (or at least was allowed to watch) The Simpsons.
