Does anyone remember the case about the guy (Ithink he was a soldier or a cop) who married a Native American woman with a shadowy past named Jet. He never met her family and people kept attacking their house. She eventually died of an aneurysm or something like that. The guy said as far as he knew her family didn't know she was dead. UM said the case was solved but I never saw the full update can anyone fill me in? Thanks!

Its been a while since I've seen it but I'll try and remember. When the story aired her family called in and identified her. I believe her real name was Geraldine Johns Moore, or something like that. The husband and her 2 grown daughters met with her family and UM was there. The girls were surprised to find their biological father there and he was surprised that he was now a grandpa. They never said anything about her mysterious past (on the air anyway). Also two more of Geraldine's grown children were there! I remember being shocked because I believe she died in her early to mid twenties but had apparently given birth to at least 6 kids!

According to my notes, the story first aired on 10/14/92. The husband's name was Dereld Tacey and he knew her under the name Georgia Ann Boyd.
I always wondered if perhaps she was in witness protection or something similar. Those biker guys really seemed to have it out for her.

If I'm remembering the right case, her family was from Central New York, as the reunion was held at Hancock International Airport in Syracuse.

I think her real first name was Edith. Edith Geraldine Johns-Moore or however you spell it was her full name.

Yes, if I remember correctly, her full name was Edith Geraldine Johns-Moore. I was always confused as to why she was so secretive about her life prior to meeting Derald, though. The update seemed bittersweet to me - Derald was able to reunite his stepdaughters with their father, as well as to meet many of Geri's family members, and I always admired his persistence in the face of those who warned him to drop his search into Geri's past. The sad part, though, was that it seemed like he never really found out why Geri was so guarded about her past, and why so many of those who knew her told Derald to simply forget her and leave town, or if he did, it wasn't mentioned. Perhaps he felt it was just better to focus on the happy part of the story - bringing so many members of Geri's family back together.
I was also curious about how Geri died - I remember it having something to do with debilitating headaches. Aneurysms cause those, of course, but I've unfortunately known a few people who had them, and the headache was always kind of an instant occurrence that quickly degenerated into something more severe - it wasn't a repeated, chronic occurrence. Does anyone remember what her condition ultimately turned out to be?

As sweet as it was to see all those family members uniting, that update was frustrating. So many aspects that were highlighted in the original segment were left completely unanswered. UM usually did a good job tying up the loose ends in the updates. And even if there were a few things left unanswered, they would at least point them out. For instance, in the Judith Himes update, they mentioned that police had no explanation for the phone calls from Nebraska. In this update, they don't even make an attempt to explain anything.
I wanted to know why all the people in that sorry town refused to help the husband out and who was stalking Jet before she died.
