My grandfather, who I call Nonno, just had a stroke. I feel so awful because I have not seen him since my high school graduation of June 2008. I hardly ever see my dad's side of the family because my mom got into a petty fight with them, and has made it a point for our family to not see my dad's family on holidays. I wish I had called my dad's parents more on the phone. My dad tells me he doesn't know much except that he is doing alright and he is in the hospital in CT. But I overheard some things when he was talking to my mom that don't sound great.

I feel sad and I wish I could see him right now :crying: It really puts things in perspective for me, being wrapped up in my own problems most of the time.

I'm sorry to hear that. I remember when my great-grandma had a stroke. She was never the same after that.
