So, I've been going thru the music that was used in Season 5, according to "Hailing Taxi." Here's the music that was noted in each episode:

"The Shloogel Show"-The Bob Newhart Show Theme with Jim, and before the commercial break, it sounds like some 70s theme song playing in the background. These are left in on the DVD.

"Jim's Inheritance"- Stevie Wonder's "You are the Sunshine of My Life", which is left in on the DVD.

"Louie's Revenge"- Andrea Marcovicci singing "It Had to Be You". Left intact on the DVD.

"Travels With My Father"- Tony and the other seamen singing "New York, New York", which was left in the DVD.

"Elaine and the Monk"- "Cheek to Cheek" is left in on the DVD.

"Jim's Mario's"- The songs Alex plays on the piano "Ebb Tide" and "Lazy River"; these are cut from the DVD.

"A Taxi Celebration:" though these are syndication prints, the music in the gay bar and Elaine's Fantasy are left intact.

So, if anyone knows of any music cut, here's somewhat of a reference, and it looks like "Jim's Mario's" is the only episode to have a music cut. I think the final season was an improvement over the Fourth Season's release big time.

This is the one time I wish CBS/Paramount had pulled a Fugitive and just used Mark Heyes and his synthesizers to replace the songs Alex played with some really nice sounding, well played piano music. The joke would have still come across, and no footage would have had to be cut.

But, we got "You Are The Sunshine", so things weren't screwed up too badly.
