Season 10 Episode 4: Study Partners

Teacher: Next time were gonna have a history quiz so get ready for it, class dismissed

Sam: Boy she lays it on thick
(Sam walks over to Jody)
Sam: Hey Jody

Jody: Hi Sam

Sam: I was wondering if you’re not busy tonight would you like to come over and study

Jody: Sure but I gotta check with my folks

Sam: If they say yes do we have a date

Jody: We sure do, catch ya later Sam

Sam: Not if I catch you first
(Jody walks off)
Sam: I’m good, I’m real good
(Sam walks off laughing the opening credits begin)
(At Home, Sam walk through the door Willis and Charlene are on the couch studying)
Sam: I’m home

Willis: Hey! What’s up Sam?

Sam: I’m on top of the world

Charlene: Who is she

Willis: How do you know that’s what it is

Sam: Her name is Jody

Charlene: See I told you

Willis: I’m glad you had your fun but I gotta go upstairs and get something I’ll be right

(Willis runs upstairs)


Charlene: So Sam what about this girl

(Sam goes to sit on the couch)

Sam: She’s great; I mean she had a great personality and a even better sense of humor

Charlene: Sounds like you really like this girl

Sam: Yep, she’s really fun to hang out with
(Arnold walks through the door)
Arnold: Hi everybody

Sam: What’s up Arnold

Arnold: I got good news

Charlene: What is it

Arnold: Me and Lisa are going to the movies

Charlene: When

Arnold: At about 7

Sam: Great cause I could have a date tonight

Arnold: Oh really

Sam: I thought I could invite a girl over to study

Arnold: You can and you should it’s apart of growing up

(Phill and Maggie walk in)

Phill: So all my labor units quit or almost quit

Maggie: What do you mean they almost quit

Phill: I told I would put they were fired on my folder then they couldn’t get an
Unemployment check

Maggie: Oh

Charlene: Hey Mr. And Mrs. Drummond


Phill: How’s it goin Charlene

Charlene: Good but it always could be better

Phill: Yea a marriage along with baby on the way cam be stressful

Maggie: Yea it does but you and Willis are Super at it

Phill: You’re keeping your grades up while in college you two really need to be commended

Charlene: If it weren’t for you we wouldn’t have a place to stay

Willis: Yea we would

Maggie: And exactly where is that

Willis: At Kimberly’s apartment

Maggie: I truly doubt it

Phill: So what do you two have planned tonight

Charlene: Nothing too much cause we have to stay here with Sam and his study date

Phill: Pearl what do you and Martin have cooking tonight

Pearl: Well Martin is out of town so I’ll be here tonight

Maggie: If you don’t mind could you chaperone Sam and his study date

Pearl: Sure, I guess Sam’s not a kid anymore

Phill: We surely do appreciate this

Pearl: Where are you two going tonight

Phill: Maggie and I have a business meeting to attend and I was going take her out to dinner

Pearl: What has that got to do with Maggie

Maggie: I’m what the meeting is about

Pearl: Don’t be to hard on her Mr. Drummond
Phill: Are you kidding the last we had a business meeting about her show she bought me dinner

Maggie: That’s not happening anymore

Phill: See ya later

(Doorbell rings)

Pearl: Well Hi Lisa

Lisa: Hi Pearl

Arnold: Lisa, let’s get out now

Lisa: Why?

Arnold; Sam’s going to have a study date

Lisa: Ok, good luck Sam

Sam: Thanks Lisa I’ll need it

Willis: I suppose we ought to be going too see ya Pearl

Pearl: See you kids later

( All Leave)

Pearl: So Sam when is your date arriving

(Doorbell Rings)

Sam: Now

(Opens door)

Sam: Jody, come on in

Jody: Wow! This is nice

Pearl: I know

Sam; Jody this is our housekeeper Pearl

Pearl: How do you do Jody
Jody; Just great

Pearl: Sam If you need me just call

Sam; Gotcha

Jody; Ok let’s get to it

Sam; You understand the fractions today in class

Jody: But didn’t expect to talk about that

Sam: Well why did you come over

Jody: To talk about us

Sam: Whatootalkinbout Jody

Jody: Were young, 11 years old, I really like you

Sam: You do

Jody: Yes I do

(Jody gives Sam a kiss)

Sam: Wow!
