Season 10 Episode 3: Sam and The Play

Announcer: Folks it’s the bottom of the 9th , full count, bases are loaded here comes the pitch and it’s hit it looks like outfielder Sam McKinney is on it. It’s coming is it………no and the Bears win the game, thanks for comming folks

Arnold: Poor kid

Willis: Yea that’s terrible

Charlene: I don’t what to say

Maggie: I know he has to be terribly disappointed

Phill: Sam, it was just a game there is nothing to worry about it only one loss

Sam: Well Dad it’s only one lost but it’s my lost

Willis: Hey better luck next time champ

Sam: There won’t be a next time I quit

(Opening Theme 1978)

Arnold: Why would you wanna quit Sam, you got everything going for ya

Sam: That might be so but I don’t feel the same way

Arnold: Well Sam how do you feel

Sam: I feel like I’m missing something

Arnold: You got a family who loves you, you’ve got two of the coolest dudes in New York for your brothers, and you’re the richest kid at school. What more could you possibly want

Sam: My Daddy

(Downstairs)

Arnold: Sam says he’s missing something in his life

Willis: Did he exactly tell you what it was

Arnold: Wes

Charlene: Who is Wes

Willis: That’s Sam’s father

Charlene: So why don’t you ask him to take him for the weekend

Arnold: I think it’s a good idea

Willis: I bet you do

Arnold: No really Willis, if he got to spend sometime with Wes it might fill the void in his heart

Phill: Hi Kids

Willis: Dad, Arnold and Charlene came up with a plan for Sam

Phill: Well what is it

Charlene: We think he needs to spend sometime with his father

Sam: Dad think here, what would make Sam happier than seeing Wes

Phill: Arnold, Charlene you both have a point but they is one tiny flaw in your plan

Willis: Maggie

Charlene: What about her

Phill: Well we have to see what she thinks about it

Maggie: Hi Everyone

Arnold: Maggie, are we happy to see you

Maggie: What’s going on

Phill: The kids came up with a nice suggestion

Maggie; Which was
Arnold: Letting Sam see Wes for a weekend

Willis: He would come out of his slump, guaranteed

Maggie: Do you all really think that’ll do the trick

Phill: Of course all we need you to do is say yes

Maggie; If it’s good for Sam it’s good for me

Phill: Now someone will have to call Wes to get him here by Saturday This week is an open week so we have no game

Maggie; I’ll call

(Upstairs)

Maggie: Hi Wes

Wes: Maggie, how’s hanging, how’s my boy doing

Maggie: That’s why I called ,it’s Sam

Wes: What’s wrong, Maggie

Maggie: He’s not hurt or anything, we just think it’s a good idea that you come pick up Sam this weekend

Wes: I would be glad to Maggie

Maggie: He really needs you and I’m glad you can make it

Wes: So am I Maggie, bye now

Maggie: Bye Wes

(The Weekend)

Wes: How are ya Phill

Phill: Doin great Wes, I got someone I want you to meet, Wes this is Willis’ wife Charlene

Charlene: Nice To meet you


Wes: Willis did good for himself and I see the little woman is with child, how far along are ya

Charlene: Seven months

Wes: Picked any names

Charlene: Arnold

Wes: What about him

Charlene: The baby’s name will be Arnold

Wes: What if it’s a girl

Charlene: We’ll name her Janet

Wes: I like it

Sam: Daddy

Wes: Sam, how it’s going son

Sam: Better now

Wes: Are you all packed up

Sam: Yep

Wes: Ok we best be on our way, catch you later

(Next Saturday)

Sam: I’m back

Maggie: Hey sugar, how was the trip

Sam; Great it was what I needed
