What is your 2010 New Years resolution?
Mine is to shed some pounds. I'm determined to be leaner this 2010.

MickeyMac 12-31-2009, 02:52 PM I dont make resolutions, I just take it one day at a time. That said I do make goals, but I do that all through the year. I'm going to get off my lazy butt and start working out again. I plan ahead and make long term goals and make strides that way. Pitooey 01-01-2010, 12:22 PM I've made resolutions before and I've kept them. Like stop smoking Lose weight Stop drinking So this year I should really focus on this (diet) and let it happen. Nighthawk76 01-02-2010, 03:49 AM At the beginning of 2009 I set out to be a better person and a better Christian, however, I failed miserably. So that would be my big goal for 2010. I also would like a job, of course, and to lose some weight...make that a lot of weight. I am also working on my first novel, and I hope to have a solid first draft complete by June. I've been sidelined since 2007, but I feel better, so I'm going to start walking this year. I've been sedentary due to illness, but I'm back in the game! 2.) My husband and I are celebrating our 25th anniversary later this year. When the weather gets warm, I want to start talking day trips. Maybe head down Cape Cod or visit relatives in New Hampshire. I want this to be a year of celebration of my marriage. 3.) I'm taking a step back in my gift giving. My husband and my late mother told me for decades that I overdo it. They were right. What often happens is that the more you give to some people, the less they appreciate each passing gift, or you're expected to just know how much they appreciate it. I'm not going to apologize that I like a person to express their appreciation for nice gestures I do, and maybe even *gasp* send a thank you for a big gift. I know the people who "get it", and the circle is small. This new change applies to my online, offline, upline and straightline life This is the year things change. :) Schmoopie 01-16-2010, 06:44 AM Well I am a member of Curves and even though the prefered number of workouts is 3 a week, I'm trying to exceed that and go 5 times. I found that if I go several days in a row (instead of every other day like they recommend), I'm more likely to stick with it. So for the first time in a long time I resolved to workout 5 times a week. When the weather gets warmer, I'm going to try to eat my lunch early (On my ten minute break) and then at my lunch time, go walking. The street by my office is totally uphill, like in San Francisco, and I could get a pretty good workout just going three or four blocks. Jonathan 01-16-2010, 03:48 PM Good luck on the resolutions, everyone! :) I, myself, don't really have any. I'm very content. |
