I wonder what the rest of the hula dancer in the grass skirt thought was.
Ginger looks great even as the nerdy psychotherapist.
I wish I could hear what they are saying individually when they are all fighting with each other at the same time.
I love the joke about if the Skipper weren't so fat...
I also love the joke about the Professor and his stupid idea.
That's some disgusting food Gilligan is eating.
Why is Gilligan in the bottom hammock in this episode?
I always wondered...if they had gone on using the seeds on the island and didn't have that major blowout with each other, what kinds of discoveries would some of the individual castaways have made while reading other castaways' minds? Choose any 2 and see what you come up with.

Perhaps the hula dancer in the grass skirt was also 36-22-36. Love Gilligan's scandalized reaction!
Was this the first time we see Ginger in the lab coat and glasses? She does like to dress the part, doesn't she? Her sympathy for Gilligan over getting "beaten" during his childhood is very sweet.
During the big argument scene I can hear the Skipper telling the Professor to do some kind of physical work. "Collect firewood! Do something!" This would tie in with the Professor's, "I should stop using my head and start using my back for a change, eh?" remark.
Gilligan's rebellious thoughts are great fun. And in the end he makes one of the wisest decisions he's ever made. I found the Professor's compliment to him at the end rather back-handed.; I know I wouldn't be very pleased to receive praise that began, "For someone who's always doing dumb things..."
It seems as though once in a while, the Skipper and Gilligan do change hammocks. This time I presume it was so Ginger could do the snoring kiss gag with Gilligan without having to stand and bend over him, which would have been rather awkward. That is one heck of a kiss, though.
The seeds only seemed to reveal people's immediate and superficial reactions, rather than illuminating any deeper feelings. (Though maybe if one ate more seeds, their powers would increase.) Perhaps they might have revealed each castaway's hidden insecurites: they all had them. It would be interesting to see what each castaway feared being exposed as. I'll pick:
Gilligan = Despite being what the Skipper called, "One of the sweetest, kindest little guys in the whole world," Gilligan seems to fear the darker side of his emotions, as suggested by his dreams of being a vampire or Mr. Hyde, or his obsession that he's a descendent of headhunters.
The Skipper = Brave and sure? Not underneath. The Skipper is tremendously afraid of being exposed as a failure. He meekly accepts the unfair condemnation of the Maritime Board, fears his best friend may write him up as a bad officer who can't handle men, and as Alan Hale Jr. himself noted, avoids responsibility by blaming his own short-sightedness on Gilligan.
P.S. I'm so glad you've started these up again, Im! I've missed them!

Ginger kissing Gilligan is smoking hot for the 60's. Too bad he was sleeping and missed it.

First thanks to lm for these posts...Love that they have really ramped up the comments. Love reading everyone's take on these episodes.
I was always torn about this one. I like the interaction of the Castaways when they know each other's thoughts and a little edge in the relationships comes out. On the other hand I always thought this may be the most outlandish of the episodes. The idea that there are mind-reading seeds out there is over the top even for GI I sometimes think.
Then again I really enjoy all the highly improbable visitors to the island- surfer, mad scientist, look-a-likes and such, so maybe I'm being too critical.
Wowee1111: This episode features Ginger in a medical role and reveals her measurements. How many times do we see that throughout the 98 episodes? Ginger as nurse, therapist or lab assistant must be a half dozen times. Her measurements come up here for maybe the only time when she's not some sort of "secret agent"- Nyet, Nyet, Not Yet; Diogenes...; Little Dictator. I remember reading once that there was quite an uproar about her exact measurements when she starred on Broadway in the late 50s. I guess when you're built like she was you don't mind broadcasting it...
