Puppies are a handful. Work with her, and don't lose your patience training her, and you will have the bestest friend ever!

Congratulations on your new puppy! At $125, you got a steal. We bought a Golden Retriever in 1988 and paid $500 for him. The young Persian cats I have now - paid $850 and $550 for them. They're calendar kitties. So cute, they take my breath away.

You did get a deal and remember that she's still a baby. Buy her lots of things to chew on and she won't attack the walls. LOL.........

OH Nuts!

She sounds like a very sweet puppy despite all the work. Bandito's advice sounds very right on the $ to me & if I had a puppy I'd keep it in mind so I kept an even perspective.

Any news on the dog you're thinking about getting?

I came very close to buying a 3-year old Miniature Schnauzer from CraigsList. Scruffy looking little gal, but adorable to me. I e-mailed with the owner and he was nice. He's moving somewhere that doesn't allow dogs. I'm just getting cold feet. It's my health that's holding me back. I feel good, but I'm afraid it won't last, and dogs are work. From what I've read, these are smart and docile dogs. Thanks for asking. :)

Here she is.

She's a cutie Janice. Schnauzers can be real sweethearts. :)

Schnauzers are great dogs, but they're very energetic. They're not couch potatoes.
