Welcome. I too have been trying to find this case. Didn't the guy leave the nurse and start a new family? I thought his son found some papers of his dads and found out that he and the nurse had a daughter.

I think it is a lost loves case.Nobody was murdered.It might have been a missing person's case but I definitely know it was not a ghost story, UFO,Sci Med or Miracle story.
