Cartoon Network is developing a live-action project from writers Greg Coolidge and Kirk Ward.

The action comedy, which is being developed as a two-hour movie/backdoor pilot, centers on a teenager who gets more than he bargained for when his family sponsors a Japanese exchange student on a secret mission far greater than just surviving high school.

Coolidge and Ward would serve as executive producers, and Chris Cowles and Chris Fenton are producing. Coolidge also might direct.

A feature comedy spec by Coolidge and Josh Cagan was recently picked up by Warner Bros. with Morgan Freeman attached to star.

Coolidge also co-created the Nickelodeon series "The Troop" and co-wrote and directed the feature "Employee of the Month."

If they're going to keep bringing in live action shows, they might just as well change the name. :X)

exactly! cartoon network just gets worse and worse each year. just goes to show it isn't just sitcoms that are lacking today because of reality TV, but so called kids cartoons as well.

I thought they were actually planning to do that at one point.

Ugh! Remember when Cartoon Network used to be about... oh, I don't know... CARTOONS?!

And the only reason they ever had a live-action version of Ben-10 was because Ben-10 was originally a cartoon.

puke: Just another bland, vanilla favor show to please the kiddies and dumb them down even more than they are!Aw,for the old days of THE FLINTSTONES,YOGI BEAR,SPACE GHOST,and other classics which this network used to be about, but like others,it sold out just to aplease the "tweens".
