Seinfeld To Replace Conan?
With Conan O'Brien ratings slipping faster than Tiger Woods' endorsement appeal, TV executives are telling me that informal discussions have started to occur within 30 Rock as to who would be the home-run replacement for the hysterical but sagging redhead. The name on everyone's wish list? Jerry Seinfeld.

"NBC just can't carry on like this. 'The Tonight Show' has lost 52 percent of its viewership in just one year. The November ratings will be the show's lowest in 15 years. They would be idiots to not be having the replacement conversation," a source tells me.

However, getting Seinfeld -- who had a long, successful relationship with NBC in the '90s and who, ironically, agreed to be the first guest when NBC moved Leno to 10 p.m. -- is a long shot., and Conan's people are denying it entirely. NBC spokesperson Drew Shane responded: "Completely false. There are no conversations happening. Conan is the host of the 'Tonight Show.'"

Way to stand by your man! We love Conan and want him to succeed no matter what timeslot he's on.

I don't see Jerry Seinfeld as talk show host material...and if Conan isn't succeeding in this time slot, I don't think Jerry would, either. Their appeal is more toward the late show crowd, I think.

I can't see him ever agreeing to do this either, but his monologues would be the hit of the evening! They're bound to be hysterical! Plus, he lives in NYC. No way would he move to LA. He's a huge fan of his home city! The funniest monologue I ever saw on SNL was when he hosted way back in the early 90's. Now if he were a guest host, I would watch in a minute!

Conan is absolutely HORRIBLE and not even remotely funny and I KNEW the show would tank once Leno left and that goofy bozo took his place.

Actually did you know Dana Carvey was first offered the job as Late Night host in the early 90s? He had some heart problems and that may be why he turned it down but Carvey would be 10000000000000 times better host than Conan the Barbarian.

Carvey's impressions alone would make the show SOOOOOOOOO much better!!
