...it's become a tradition for WPIX-TV in New York to feature a "Honeymooners' New Year's Eve Marathon" [usually presenting the best of the "Classic 39" filmed episodes]...and it often draws a good audience. This year should be no exception! Other than that, they only schedule weekly back-to-back "viewers' choice" episodes on Monday mornings at 1am. But that's still better than WGN in Chicago, who removed their Sunday night "HONEYMOONERS" repeats from their "Outta Sight Retro Night" rotation a while back....can't complain, though.

28 Classic Episodes to Air on New Year's Eve & New Year's Day


NEW YORK, December 21, 2009 -- From the Gotham Bus Company depot to the Raccoon Lodge, PIX is NY's home for the Honeymooners with New Yorkers ringing in the New Year with Ralphie Boy on PIX since 1996, when the Honeymooners marathon (which began airing on the station in 1976) moved to New Year's Eve. This year, the marathon of 28 classic episodes begins Thursday, December 31st at midnight and runs from through 6am (with a break for the PIX Morning News from 6-9am) returning at 9am-5pm on New Year's Day.

The 14-hours of hamana-hamana-hamana hijinks of our favorite Brooklyn residents Ralph Kramden (Jackie Gleason), Ed Norton (Art Carney), Alice Kramden (Audrey Meadows) and Trixie Norton (Joyce Randolph) will include the following episodes:
