Thanks everyone!

As I get older (as opposed to being a little kid), coming online and seeing everyone's wishes for my happy birthday become more important. I think to myself "It's my birthday - gotta check online to see what they say, lol." I appreciate it.

I had a fairly good birthday. I mean I didn't have a party, but then again I haven't had a birthday party in years, so it's nothing new.

I moved into my own home (I'm renting) on December 1st, so this was my first birthday out of my parent's house. That was a good feeling. I know last year I was depressed because I was still living with them. Nothing against them, of course, it's just I was 27 then. I felt like I was going nowhere and still living in their basement didn't help things. But now I'm 28 and I'm independent and I love it.

I got (from my sister) a retro telephone. It's the candlestick kind that you see on "The Andy Griffith Show." I didn't know if they still made them, but she found one online. The past couple years she's had some really great presents for me - last year was a Monk Bobblehead. My mom got me "Joe Schmo 2" on DVD. I actually found it and was gonna buy it, but she wanted to give it as a gift, so she paid for it, lol.

I should also mention that with my Andy Griffith show style phone, I can now act like I'm in Mayberry. I can call up Barney, Gomer and the gang in Andy Taylor's voice, of coure. "Sarah, I'd like to speak to Miss Helen Crump. Much obliged." ;)
