The Bonnie Hunt Show will not get renewed, Broadcasting & Cable reports. The trade says Hunt herself gave her staff the news on Monday. The syndicated show will go off the air in September, at the end of its second season, according to The Wrap. Reps for Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution and Hunt did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

It's been on in my local market. I'm not that much of a talk show watcher, but hers seemed okay. She had been getting some pretty big-name guests. I liked to think of it as a female version of Tony Danza's old talk show, although I seem to recall Tony getting in the kitchen more than Bonnie. Maybe not exceptional, but not bad.

That's too bad. It was a pretty good show, IMO. I wasn't a regular watcher but the episodes I saw were entertaining.

NOOOO... this can't be happening I was so excited that her show got a second sesean and now this. I love Bonnie Hunt and I love her talk show. I watch it on a normal basis because it airs here at 3:00 pm and that's when I get home from work. I thought her show was very funny and cute. And Bonnie and her Executive Producer Don Lake made a great team the way she would say something and his comments about it where just spot on. This is just so sad because I remember when Bonnie Hunts show aired it's first show she said that she always wanted to be a talk show host and this was her dream. Her show will be missed :( .
I wanted to post these two videos that she aired on her show they are just so good and this is part of the reason I loved her show.

..."I didn't even know she had a talk show".
The field is so crowded for daily syndicated talk shows these days- and fewer advertisers and stations are willing to support those that aren't widely seen [in New York, Bonnie's on WNBC-TV at 2pm]- that some of those hosts that first appeared in recent years are finding fewer outlets to be seen...even Oprah is pulling the plug on her series next year because she's finding it difficult to remain on the air in such a "congested" atmosphere.
Bonnie, no doubt, will return in some other format.

I'm very disappointed that "The Bonnie Hunt Show" will not be renewed. This is more than a talk show. It is an extension of the host's personality. Not only does she interview celebrity guests, she also raises money for charity, spotlights children and amateur performers, and even allows her staff members to occasionally perform. She provides many opportunities for audience members to participate in the show as well. I think we need more shows like this on TV not less!
