Hey guys, here's a question for all of you:

Now, these 4 shows have become somewhat of a trademark or tradition for NBC, CBS, abc and Fox

and so, I want to know:

are these 4 shows overrated?

and if so, please explain

Law & Order (NBC)
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS)
AFV-America's Funniest Home Videos (abc)
The Simpsons (Fox)

I think CSI is overrated. The other shows have had their ups and downs. CSI was cool when it started and they explained the methods used in investigation but after a few years the show got dragged out.

How can American Funniest Home Video's be overrated

CSI and their many clones are WAY overrated IMO. All I watch on CBS primetime are the Monday Night comedies and The Amazing Race.

I don't mind the others, though The Simpsons is nowhere near as good as it once was.

I used to love CSI and L&O but they are a shell of what they once were. The CSI spin-offs were always bad and this is coming from someone who likes a lot of CBS's shows.

Law And Order - Except for the three episodes (1 SVU, 2 original) that Khrystyne Haje guest-starred in (:happyface ), I never cared for this show or any of the spin-offs too much.

CSI - This show (as well as the spin-offs) never did anything for me either.

AFHV - Bob Saget's version was the best. Daisy Fuentes & John Fuglesang's version was the worst. Tom Bergeron's version is just okay.

The Simpsons - Easily the best of the four for me. I still think this show's hilarious, and I loved the movie as well (Spiderpig was awesome!).

I agree Bob Saget's version was the best. I do care for the other versions.

Of those four shows, the only one I like is The Simpsons. I don't think it's overrated at all. I do think the Golden Age has long passed, but I still find it enjoyable. I think it absolutely deserves its place in TV history.

I loved America's Funniest Home Videos when I was a kid, but I cringe at it now. It's just so silly, stupid, and pointless to me. YouTube has much better videos.

As for Law & Order, CSI, and other crime shows, I do not watch them at all. I will never understand why murder or terror is considered entertainment. I feel the same about horror movies.
