I have been dealing with a lot of, unexplained, health issues lately; hence, the reason, why I have not been posting on this site. I am asking for prayers and positive thoughts for tomorrow. I go in to have every test under the sun; from blood tests, to x-rays, even an EKG. I am hoping that everything is okay, and that I am not serious ill. My white cell count (in my blood) is very low for some reason, and this is a major concern for me...

i think you will be ok hollywood rock chick. i think you maybe have a case of leukopenia whitch in most cases isb not serious and can be treated easily once diagnosed.

simptoms include:

Anemia: It is decrease in red blood cells or decrease in hemoglobin count.
Menorrhaggia: It is abnormally heavy and prolonged menstrual period.
Metrorrhaggia: It is bleeding from the uterus, but not due to menstruation. It is indicative of some infection.
Neurasthenia: It is a condition characterized by fatigue, headache and disturbed emotional balance.
Thrombocytopenia: It is a blood disease, in which there are abnormally less number of platelets in the blood.
Stomatitis: It is an inflammation of the mucous lining of the structures in the mouth, like the cheeks, gums, tongue, lips, etc
Pneumonia: It causes inflammation in the lungs due to congestion by virus or bacteria.
Liver abscesses: It is a kind of bacterial infection in the liver. It is relatively rare but fatal.
Fatigue, headache and fever are frequent symptoms. One also experiences hot flashes and irritability.
The person becomes susceptible to various infections and oral ulcers.
The patient develops strong desire to drink hot drinks. (taken from web source)

i no people immediatley think leukemia when they have low count of wbc's. it is naturaly alarming. i have a background in medicine and i find common cause of low wbc count is leukopenia. and i find most cases of leukopenia to be caused by vitamin or nutrient deficiency or side effecdts of certain medications. leukopenia is rarely caused by soemthing serious in my experience

Many of these ailments can be cause of leukopenia, influenza, systemic lupus erythematosus, Hodgkin's lymphoma, some types of cancer, typhoid, malaria, tuberculosis, dengue, Rickettsial infections, enlargement of the spleen, folate deficiencies, psittacosis and sepsis. Many other causes exist, such as a deficiency in certain minerals such as copper and zinc.(this paragraphy from wikipedia)

Also some medications will cause leukopenia such as prolonged use of antidepressants or immunosuppresive medications.

really i would not worry to much. i think that you will be fine and i think slowly, slowly with right vitamins and nutrients you will see improvement.

my well wishes - Parvaz
