Rivers Cuomo, the lead singer of rock band Weezer, was in a bus accident Sunday that put him and another passenger in the hospital, according to CNN. Cuomo, who complained of rib pain after the incident, was traveling on the bus with his wife and daughter from Toronto to Boston for a Monday night show when the accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. At the time of the accident, the bus was on a New York state highway near the city of Amsterdam.

Rivers was traveling to Boston for a Monday night show at Boston University’s Agganis Arena, and as of Sunday afternoon, “the show is still set to go on” as planned, according to a rep from the arena.

I went to high school with a girl who dated Rivers. He was her date to senior prom. I'm sure glad to hear that he is okay.
