Well, Sue Ann often struck me as being downright cruel, which wasn't something I could say about Phyllis or Ted. The latter were egotistical and very dense, but at least you might be able to get out of the elevator without being insulted.

As for the original question, I think I like the suggestion of taking the stairs! But if I have to choose, I suppose Sue Ann. I'm a woman, so she's not going to hit on me. Phyllis would get on my nerves, but I think Sue Ann would at least pretend to be friendly.

The Mary Tyler Moore Phyllis was wonderfully outrageous,like making the scene about Ben and Rhoda at Mary's party,the spinoff Phyllis was toned down,made less intelligent and more scatty,although still very funny thanks to Cloris Leachman,it was nice to see her back,to her old acid tongue self,in the last ever epsiode of MTM.
