I remember watching The Bradys in February of 1990 and I recall distinctly, that it came on, with a simple instramental. Then when I watched on TV Land a couple years ago, suddenly, it was coming on with Florence Henderson singing the theme song. What happened? Why did CBS use a different theme song?

Florence sang the theme for the first couple of episodes on CBS, then it became an instrumental. I think this is true for the reruns on Fox Family as well.

She may have sung the very first episode on CBS, but she certainly did not sing the rest of the episodes. I remember there were two instrumental versions. The first one was more relaxed and then the 2nd one had more of a beat and was a bit faster.

"The Bradys" was cooler than "The Brady Bunch" anyday! Here is the song:

Here's a story
Of a family Brady!
A mom and dad with
All their children grown!
Out there fufilling their dreams
With families of their own!

When our kids were small
Their problems were all smaller
As they changed
So did their point of view

When the The Bradys left CBS, it was syndicated in 2 packages. The first contained the 6 episodes edited together as 3 movies. These contained the vocal theme. The second contained the 6 episodes as 6 hour-long episodes. These contained the non-vocal theme, which was on CBS.
